<p>Open Source Point of Sale 2.3 is a point of sale system built on top of a CodeIgniter base.</p>
<p>It therefore is written in PHP and uses MySQL as the database backend for data storage.</p>
<p>This means that it&#8217;ll run on any system with a web browser and can be run on a local server or hosted for multiple clients to access.</p>
<h2>Changes Details</h2>
<p>Two database tables have been added, with accompanying foreign keys from the existing tables.</p>
<ul>
<li>ospos_stock_locations</li>
<li>ospos_item_quantities</li>
</ul>
<p>First table is used to keep track of the stcok locations for the pos.</p>
<p>The quantities table will track an item&#8217;s presence in each of the different stock locations.</p>
<p>If there is only a single location, no changes will be visible in the user interface and everything should work as before.</p>

<li>Thai language added</li>
<li>Upgrade to CodeIgniter 2.2 (contains several security fixes)</li>

<p><strong>Bugs</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Database types for amounts all changed to decimal types (this will fix rounding errors in the sales and receivings reports) the rest of the application</li>
<li>Fix duplicated session cookies in http headers (this broke the application when running on nginx)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>UPGRADE from version 2.2.1</strong><br />
A couple of datatypes have changed, and migration should be easy by using the script added to the database folder (2.2.0_to_2.2.1.sql). Ofcourse don&#8217;t forget to backup your current database in case something goes wrong!<br />
WARNING: Always is a good idea to do a backup previous to an upgrade. This is not an exception.</p>
<ul>
<li>Backup your database.</li>
<li>Backup your OS-POS files. (normally at web server place)</li>
<li>Backup your OS-POS/application/config/database.php file.</li>
<li>Remove all your OS-POS files (do not remove nor modify database data!!!)</li>
<li>Extract the files for version 2.2.2.</li>
<li>Move the files to your web server place.</li>
<li>Restore your OS-POS/application/config/database.php file.</li>
